Behrens, Kelvin

Born in Brantford, Ontario, the birthplace of "The Great One", Wayne Gretzky, I naturally grew up playing hockey. When that didn't work out as planned, I realized I would have to find a real job! Where life once threw me lemons and I ended up with orange juice, I can honestly state that those times were well worth the effort, for finally, I am able to drink lemonade!

I've lived on either coast; from Nova Scotia to British Columbia; specifically Abbotsford, where I currently reside. I love the Fraser Valley and all it has to offer and now can't imagine living anywhere else. It was here in BC where I met my beautiful wife, Cleidy. I am so very fortunate to have such an exceptional woman in my life. We have since become the proud parents of a delightful little boy, Connor, recently celebrating his second birthday. Perhaps he will grow up to be the NHL player I never was, or perhaps even a Real Estate Agent, like his father and grandfather!

Prior to becoming the Real Estate Agent I am today, I had a much different career path in mind. Following completion of High School, I set my sights on College, studying both Automotive Service Technician and Collision Repair Technician. When I completed those courses, I pursued employment in my chosen field, without success. My brother then offered me a job on the oil rigs, in Alberta, which I accepted. I soon specialized as a Heavy Equipment Operator and remained there until the economic downturn in that industry some years ago.

It was then that I decided to follow in my father's footsteps and become a Realtor® In hindsight, it would’ve been quite special to have had the opportunity to work together with my father, had Real Estate been my initial vocation. Thankfully, the folks at RE/MAX Little Oak Realty have become my new Real Estate ‘family’ and have given me an abundance of care and support, for which I am forever grateful. I feel extremely blessed and proud to be a part of such a tremendously professional organization.
